Today rebels began an offensive to take the town of Khalasah in Southern Aleppo. The attack was led by the Jaish Al-Fateh extremist coalition alongside more moderate factions. The FSA took its usual role of fire support, with Jabhat Al-Nusra and "moderate" Faylaq Al-Sham storming the town. Jabhat Al-Nusra is usually the group that storms a target, Faylaq Al-Sham's presence in storming Khalasah is unusual. There are conflicting reports about Khalasah at the time of writing, some saying the town has fallen, others saying it hasn't. If it hasn't fallen yet, it seems likely that it will soon.
